Tree Climbing Adventure Time!

Use your wonderful imagination to meet with Jesus! Get comfy and relax, invite Holy Spirit to be with you!

Psalm 123:1 Lord, I look upward to you,
you who live in heaven.

Say slowly, with lots of pauses, keep it shorter for a younger child:
Thank you Holy Spirit that you love us. Help us to spend time with Jesus now!
Imagine you are in a forest... Look around you.
What kinds of trees can you see... what noises can you hear... what season is it?
Can you find Jesus? He is halfway up a tree!
He is calling your name. He is reaching down to help you up.
Do you take His hand? Do you go tree climbing with Him?
What is the tree like? How high up are you?
What is Jesus saying, doing, showing you?
What can you see, hear, feel?
Spend time having a tree climbing adventure with Him!

Share what you saw, heard or sensed with each other.
Seek to validate and celebrate all responses.
Jot down in an Adventure Book or special journal.
Thank Jesus for being with you!

Love is Kind Encounter Fun Play

1 Corinthians 13:4, 8, 9 Love is patient and kind… It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends.

Everyday resources: babies, soft toys, baby-related toys, clothes and pretend food.

Play with any toy babies, dolls, soft toys and clothes/food with your child. Explore together and notice how your child plays and investigates.
Encourage them to take care of their baby: to feed, clothe and carry them.
Show them how to carefully hold, hug, talk gently and show love to the baby and chat about how you showed them this when they were tiny.
Say ’Did you know Daddy God loves us like this too? He is so kind and caring to us!’
Thank God for His love for us, that we can feel and know this today. Ask Him to help us love others with kindness and care. Look for ways to practice throughout your week.
