CELEBRATORY PENTECOST VIDEO
Last call for folks to contribute to the Pentecost celebration video which is now in preparation!! This uplifting combination of visual images of God's Spirit moving in our lives with voices in many languages proclaiming the Good News will be part of our celebration of the Feast of Pentecost on Sunday, May 23. A delightfully diverse group of parish folk have already indicated interest in participating by sending in photos and/or video or audio clips. And speaking of Dinner for a Dollar- last week Sue O'Connell served a meal of roasted pork loin, with mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, applesauce and dinner rolls. Chocolate cake was served for dessert.
Columbus House
19th Annual Chocolate to the Rescue
This Sunday!
Columbus House is happy to announce that the Chocolate to the Rescue event to benefit our Middlesex Family Shelter will still take place, but in a different and safe way. This year, we are offering delicious chocolate confections from a variety of local chocolate artisans and an online presentation to benefit families experiencing homelessness throughout Middlesex County. The first 100 “attendees” can indulge in decadent creations from several regional chocolatiers and join us online to hear from some of the chefs who prepared the treats. Chocolates will be available for pick up at the New Haven Shelter or at our Sanseer office in Middletown between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on May 16. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Middlesex Family Shelter, a program of Columbus House.

5th Sundays Across ECCT
Our second "Fifth Sundays Across ECCT" liturgical offering of 2021 is coming May 30, 2021. Dean Lina Howell and the Rev. Curtis Farr invite you to make plans to join St. Paul's, Fairfield, on ECCT's YouTube Channel and Facebook page on Sunday, May 30 at 10 a.m. to worship together. Camp Washington Open for Summer Sessions
CAMP PROGRAMS
CHILDREN'S CAMP (AGES 7 - 12) Have fun this summer meeting new friends, learning new skills and discovering more about your faith. Come and explore all the fun and excitement Camp Washington has to offer. Hiking, cookouts & campfires are part of the adventure as well as swimming, canoeing, sports, arts & crafts, archery and more.
TEEN CAMP (AGES 12-16) If you want an experience where you can get away, meet new friends, try new activities and learn more about your faith, Camp Washington is the place for you. Teen Camps have all the options of our Children's Camps with a bit more freedom, a touch more responsibility and a lot more depth.
SPECIALTY CAMPS
MINI CAMPS (ages 5-10) If you are new to the overnight camping experience, try MINI CAMP. It's a fun filled, variety pack of programming! MINI campers will experience everything that camp has to offer from the waterfront to the costume closet and everything in between.
MINI DAY-CAMPS: 9am - 4pm (ages 5-10) Still not ready for overnight? Try our MINI Day-Camp option! All things awesome about camp in a day.

FAITH STUDY GROUP
Starting in May, the Faith Study Group is returning to its accustomed meeting schedule, i.e. the SECOND and FOURTH TUESDAY of every month. So its next two meetings are Tuesdays May 11 and May 25. As of now it continues to meet via Zoom, beginning with casual conversation at around 6:30, and moving to focused discussion at 7:00 pm.
In its leisurely journey through the book Manna and Mercy by Daniel Erlander, the group is now exploring the story of the Early Church as represented in the Bible by the Acts of the Apostles and the letters of Paul. The tension in these writings, between the vision of God’s holy people sharing the unbounded grace of God’s abundant love through the resurrection of Jesus, and the tendency of humans to fall into distrust, jealousy and greed, strikes very close to our own world and our own lives! This conversation has also begun meshing in exciting ways with the conversations going on in our other online adult series, on “Jesus’s Kingship of Kinship.”
The Faith Study Group is open to all. There is no “homework” or advance reading for the meetings, and no question is too basic or too complicated. Regular or occasional participation are both welcome.
