The next two Sundays we will have Reconciliation in the usual confessional from 9:30 until 10 am, but Mass will be downstairs due to the LED project in our chapel.  It will be a tight fit, and I hope we can get everyone in the social hall, with Livestream to the conference room.  We will do social distancing as much as we can.

I will be celebrating Masses with the good people of Eagle Center, LaPorte City, and my home parish in Traer.  No prophet is accepted in his hometown, but pray that they will at least be generous!  This is my first of nine weekends out asking for support for our mission.  Fr. Solomon Farinto will be with you again.

Last week, I shared with you that Archbishop Jackels is allowing local parishes to adjust safety precautions beginning June 5-6.  Our pastoral council will discuss this later this month, and we welcome ideas from everyone.  If you have input for us, please use our group email.

Job Opening at St. Stephen the Witness: 

St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center in Cedar Falls is seeking to hire a full-time Coordinator of Hospitality.  We are a community made up of students, faculty and staff from UNI, Hawkeye College, and Allen College, as well as individuals and families who are integral in our ministry with college students.  The Coordinator of Hospitality plays a critical role in providing secretarial and office services and coordinating events of the Student Center.  This person, as a receptionist for the entire building, creates the important “first impression.”  In addition to a regular Monday through Friday schedule, a regular, rotating Sunday shift is required for this role.  Full benefits offered include health, dental, paid vacation, and access to a flexible spending account, life insurance, and 401K.  The position will be available until filled.  Send your resume and cover letter to John Hlas at john_hlas@yahoo.com by June 15.

Mass Procedures: 
Please keep your mask on while you are in the building.
Children under 2 do not have to wear a mask. Please continue to social distance, as well. We will not be taking up the collection in the same form —there is a basket in the lobby that you may place any gifts in on your way out. For communion, Father will come to you to distribute. Please wait for him to move on to the next person before you remove your mask to consume the Body of Christ.
