Luego de que la vacuna de Pfizer fuera aprobada para ser administrada en jóvenes de este rango de edad, algunos padres han dicho que prefieren esperar para inmunizar a sus hijos. El doctor Sergio Aguilar Gaxiola afirma que lo más recomendable es que los adolescentes sean vacunados lo antes posible, pues “entre más pronto lo hagan, van a estar seguros ellos, sus familias y con quienes estén en contacto”.

New research study aims to improve cancer disparities
People from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds in the Sacramento area are encouraged to participate in a UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center research study aimed at reducing the cancer burden in underrepresented communities.  CLICK HERE

COVID-19/Mental Health Study
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused millions to stay at home or severely restrict their activities. This major disruption increases the risk for depression and anxiety. When outside forces reduce our ability to control our lives, it is important to focus on those things we CAN control.

Professor of Psychology Ricardo F. Muñoz of Palo Alto University is conducting a study that will create an online inventory of thoughts and activities that people all over the world have found helpful in remaining emotionally healthy. By crowdsourcing this information and sharing it widely, he hopes to help prevent serious depression and anxiety across the globe.

This is a voluntary and completely anonymous survey that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. There is no way of identifying who completed the survey.
