Yesterday afternoon, our Home Based Care team and pastor were robbed at gunpoint, on the premises of our offices. A traumatic experience after more than a decade of relative crime free operations in New Eersterust.  

At this time, we call to you, our supporter with a special prayer request.

Please pray for:

• The Lord’s protection of our team and patients

• Pray for healing and effective trauma counseling of our staff tomorrow. Pray for wisdom and safety for the social worker, minister and project coordinator who will visit the premises for this.

• Pray for the two criminals that performed the robbery. That they will learn to know the Lord and cease their criminal activities.

• A Bible was also stolen, to use the pages for smoking drugs. Pray that the Bible would be read instead.

• Pray for the government of South Africa, that they will address the increasing poverty levels and the desperation its people. And that the country will return to serving God.

We know that our help is from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. And that we can “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV).

At the time we also cling to the promise of Psalm 121:7-8 NIV “The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
