Dear Emmanuel Family,
For twenty-six years, the children and families of Emmanuel Christian School, our congregation, and many from our community have been nurtured, discipled, taught, and loved by Ruth Ann Gillespie. She first came to serve as Director of Emmanuel United Methodist Church Preschool in 1995 and later joined the church staff as the Children’s Ministry Director. From coordinating Sunday Worship Programming for babies through elementary age children to Vacation Bible School, planning and execution of Experience Missions for preteens, organizing Confirmation, and oversight of the Upward Sports Ministry, Ruth Ann’s life has had an impact on thousands of children and their families.
Her last day in the office will be May 13th. We want to invite you all to celebrate her years of service through expressions of appreciation and love for her faithful service.
We would like to encourage everyone to share notes of gratitude and well-wishes for the next season of life for Ruth Ann.
On THIS Sunday, May 16th, Pastor Jim will recognize Ruth Ann during both morning Worship Services. We will host an Open House (“drop-in”) Cake Reception in the Family Life Center (gym) immediately following the 11:05 Worship Hour, lasting until 2:00 p.m.
