Note from Rev. Eileen Ramsey
Dear Friends,
We have a very special service this Sunday as we dedicate the Unity
Church of Georgetown Prayer Chaplains into a new year of sacred service.
They have spent this past year faithfully holding each member and
congregant in God’s tender loving care, seeing through any issues to the
truth of God’s presence in each person and in their situations. It takes a
very special person to willingly answer that call, and on Sunday, we get to
acknowledge and honor them!
Because the Unity movement was founded on the basis of Prayer, I’ll be
speaking from my favorite text on the subject, “Come Apart for A While,
Exploring Four Ways to Pray Taught by Jesus.” The authors, Revs. Robert
and Janet Ellsworth remind us that Jesus taught about a God that supports
and responds to us. We live in an interconnected universe. We affect and
are affected by everything within and all around us.
So, please join us Sunday as we celebrate our friends who dedicate
themselves to affecting us in the most positive and holy way.
Bless you,
Rev. Eileen

Divine Presence fills and surrounds me with perfect peace. From this place of peace, I allow Divine Guidance to direct my path and choices.
I gently move from my ego-based thinking to my heart-centered thinking where I come from love. Filled with love, I surround our
church and Board of Directors with trust and faith that they are making decisions for our highest and best good.
As an integral presence in this church, I strive to be patient, cooperative, and kind with decisions our Board makes on our behalf. I acknowledge that I don’t know all the answers and I commit to being cooperative and supportive because I know that wherever I am, God is.
God’s love rains down on our board members, our congregants, and our church. We are guided forward from our hearts. I am a good steward
of my church, board, and church family.
I am blessed.
Amen
Mother's Day Service Prayer and Affirmations
As many of you asked for our Church Mom's Prayer from Sunday, I am posting it here along with the Affirmations we said during Service. I have also added a link to download a printable version of both the Prayer and Affirmations. If you liked the affirmations, please check out Catherine Ponders' book, "The Dynamic Law of Prayer"There are many more wonderful prayers and affirmations in that book. The audio for Sunday's Service has been recreated and uploaded to our website too.
Mother’s Day prayer by Elizabeth Griffin
Today we celebrate Mother’s Day! Mothers should really be celebrated more than once a year. The world needs mothers-it is not an easy job-it is a tough job!!
Someone said about mothers: they are walking and breathing miracles! Think about it: Mothers have to be loving, patient, understanding, firm, guiding, say yes or no at the right time, caring, strong, be able to handle sleepless nights, know about nutrition, and has to be able to handle falls and injuries. Her arms are to comfort, love, and dry tears; the job is endless!
We must not forget the countless women who had no biological children, but who with all their love, kindness and caring hearts helped raise other children, adopted children, also grandmothers who help and guide children. We need them; they are an immense help in every community.
My mother, to me, was and will always be the toughest woman on earth. Her childhood ended when she and her older siblings had to leave school at the 5th-grade level to work in a factory to help support their family. My mother survived 2 world wars. She and I came to this country in 1954. She loved this country! She made her transition 9 years later.
God bless all the mothers and mother’s helpers in the world! Amen
Affirmations from Sunday - Catherine Ponder
CHRIST IN ME IS MY FORGIVING POWER
CHRIST IN US IS OUR FORGIVING POWER.
CHRIST IN THIS SITUATION IS ITS FORGIVING POWER.
CHRIST IN ME NOW REVEALS ANY BLOCK TO BE REMOVED MENTALLY OR EMOTIONALLY, SO THAT I AM RECEPTIVE TO ALL HEALTH, WEALTH, AND HAPPINESS.
THE HARMONIZING POWER OF LOVE IS NOW ESTABLISHED IN THIS SITUATION BY THE POWER OF THE CHRIST MIND WITHIN. I FULLY RELEASE THIS SITUATION TO GOD.
