Senior Farewell Celebration
The Grimsley PTSA will host a Senior Farewell on June 8th from 8pm-12am in Jamieson Stadium.  This carnival style FREE event the night of graduation is for ALL seniors! This will be a super fun event that takes the place of Project Graduation which is usually held indoors. Plans include a mechanical bull, wipe out, a dunk tank, carnival games, food, music, prizes and more. Let's help celebrate these seniors who have missed so much this year, in a COVID safe and fun environment that provides an opportunity for them to have fun with friends and classmates.

To help make this happen we need your help:

1. Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $2,500!
We have a Go Fund Me page - https://gofund.me/337ddc04

Normally we spend most of the year fundraising and planning Project Graduation. This year, we are pulling this together in a month. Thank you for your support and please share with friends! We are getting closer - we have $1,575 raised so far! Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

2. Volunteer!
We need lots of help pulling this off and it will be a ton of fun! Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0f4ea9a69-senior

Summer AP Boot Camps

More information can be found on the AP/IB page on the Grimsley Website.

Dress Code for Graduation
There is a long walk to the main coliseum floor where graduation will take place.  Choose comfortable, appropriate shoes for the event.

Bring NOTHING in with you for graduation.  No bags will be allowed.  You will go through metal detectors to enter the venue.  If you choose to bring your phone, it will need to be on silent during the ceremony.

No jeans, no tennis shoes, and no casual sandals.

GENTLEMEN must wear a white dress shirt and tie with dark dress pants, dark socks, and dark dress shoes

LADIES should wear a scoop neck or v-neck white dress or appropriate nice dress underneath the gown: no bold patterns or colors that will show through the robe. If your dress is longer than the gown, it must be WHITE.  If you choose to wear pants, follow the dress code for the gentlemen – dark pants and shoes.

Ladies shoes should be black, blue, tan or white dress shoes (no bright colors, no tennis shoes, boots, loafers, flip-flops or casual sandals). Be mindful of the height of your heels.  You will have to walk up and down stairs.  Save the 4+ inch heels for another event. Ladies, bring hair pins to keep the cap on properly.

Graduates will be “on display” to the visitors and should look proud of themselves. Caps are to be worn flat on your head with the tassel on the right. Do NOT put anything on the top of the cap. Be careful not to lose your stole or tassel. You will need both for all ceremonies. Replacement tassels are $15.
