Copy

Did you know that using "Course Copy" in the wrong way can make your courses too big and cause Blackboard to run more slowly for everyone?

We have been notified by SUNY that some recent Blackboard problems were the result of courses that were overloaded with duplicate content. There are three main ways to copy and move Blackboard content:

Entire Courses
Course Copy is used when you want to copy an entire course and its contents (excluding student work) from one section to another. Follow these instructions.

Individual Course Materials
If you would like to move individual course items such as folders within or between courses follow these instructions.

Exams
If you've created a new exam and want to copy it into another course follow these instructions. You do not need to do this if you are simply copying an entire course into a new section, as exams will copy over automatically.

If you need assistance the SUNY Online Support Services Helpdesk is available 7 days per week to answer your Blackboard questions at 1-844-673-6786.
