2021 Book it Bobcats Summer Reading Program


Book It Bobcats, Bill Roberts' annual summer reading program is back for a 5th year! We are so excited to motivate students to read and to raise money for our amazing school. All students can participate and the more you read, the more prizes you can earn! REGISTER YOUR STUDENTS ONLINE HERE. Students can pick up a tracking poster at the front desk or PRINT THIS ONE. This is our last Eat & Give event of the school year. Huge THANKS to BR mom Rachel Rosenberg for arranging these partnerships with local businesses that raised almost $6000 for our school!

School Transportation Next Year


If your student needs to ride a bus to school next year YOU MUST OPT IN for DPS transportation!

What families should do NOW:
Log into the Parent Portal.
Navigate to the Transportation page, where you’ll find the Opt-In Program form at the bottom.The default for all students is set to “Opt-out.”
If you’d like your student to utilize their transportation eligibility, please switch the toggle to “Opt-in.”
Remember to click the “submit” button to save your request.
Email your questions to Transportation@dpsk12.org

Kinder Art Walk and Picnic


Kindergarten families are invited to an art walk and picnic the last week of school! Check with your child's teacher for your class's date and time.



Free Food Resources over the Summer


The Bill Roberts Food Pantry is able to provide some groceries over the summer. Please complete this form to SIGN UP. Confidentiality will be a priority.

BR Schedule for the 2021-2022 School Year


The next school year starts on August 23rd. All students K-8th will have the same start and end time to the school day.

Monday-Thursday
7:40am-2:40pm (first bell at 7:35am)

Friday
7:40am-12:40pm

It's not too late! Order from TreeRing.com with our school's code: 1014725947141451 for delivery to your home, OR "Reserve" your $30 copy from the school by emailing Laurel_Davis@dpsk12.org. We accept cash, check made out to William "Bill" Roberts or payment on MySchoolBucks.com. Pick-up location is dependent on when the books arrive.

Last week’s Book Fair raised over $5500 for the library – one of our most successful events ever! Thank you so much to Leah Weihe and the many other volunteers and staff for helping. We could not have set it up, run it, and take it down without you!



K-5th Grade School Supplies for Next Year


Log in to MySchoolBucks.com and click the link to the school store (see image above). All supplies will be delivered to classrooms before the first day of school. We encourage everyone to purchase this way. MySchoolBucks is also used for lunch credits and some class field trips. You will need to know your students' ID.

The Lost & Found rack will be outside the front doors daily (weather permitting) until the end of the school year. All unclaimed items will be donated on the afternoon of the last day of school.


Longmont Dairy Milk Caps


Your milk caps are worth money to our school! Give them a rinse before dropping them off in the bin at the front doors until the end of the school year and save them over summer for collection when school starts again in August.

Chromebook collection day unless your student needs a computer over the summer for extended learning or tutoring.

Send kids with athletic shoes, extra water, snacks and maybe a chair for breaks.

"On the Beach" Outdoor Middle School Dance 6:30-8:30pm
Masks will be required even though we will be outside on the playground. Admission is $5. Drop an envelope at the front desk by 3pm with $5 cash or check (made out to William "Bill" Roberts), your student's name, and the word "dance" if your child is eligible and would like to attend. 
We would appreciate ONE MORE ADULT CHAPERONE from 7:30-8:30pm. Bonus if you can be part of the cleanup crew!! Please SIGN UP TO HELP if you can!

8th Grade Commencement

8th grade students will be here in the gym. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook for friends and family.

Bake Sale to Help with Economic Inequality

After studying economic inequality in class this year, 6th graders Melissa Fernandez-Rodriguez and Audrey Kelso decided they want to do something to help! They have organized a bake sale to raise money for fightfor15.org, an organization that supports raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Feed your sweet tooth and support a good cause!

Summer Tutoring with Bill Roberts Teaching Staff

Few spots remain for rising Kindergarteners-5th grade. It will be a fun-filled summer with weekly themes which include: Toy Makers Workshop, National Parks Adventure, and Galileo Olympic Games! Camp will be located in the neighborhood at Izzy B!
