Many franchise businesses operate a high percentage of their retail stores from shopping centres. MallSelector is a way of looking at Shopping Centres across Australia, and being able to see information on the Shopping Centre, the demographics as an indicator of the people living around it, and a google earth picture of the Shopping Centre. This new tool created by Spectrum Analysis allows a single desktop application as a first filter to determine whether a Shopping Centre should be of interest to you for opening a store.

The data we are capturing about the shopping centre includes GLAR, MAT, Pedestrian estimates, and information on the Food Court outlets, theatre screen numbers and parking.

We also have MAT data available within the last 5 years, since 2016 till 2020, which can reflect growth of a shopping centre in the past years.

MallSelector can aggregate demographic and business employment summary at different radius around the shopping centre, e.g. 3km, 5km and 10km radius. This represents a snapshot of the type of people who you would expect to use the Shopping Centre.

We also include the SEIFA score (Socio Economic Index For Areas) as a way of understanding the socio and economic demographics around the shopping centre.

To view shopping centre in the big picture of its Local Government Area's growth, we also include some demographics of the Local Government Area, including population projections of 2020, 2024, 2028 and 2032.
