Final Tee Times - 2 spaces available!

Dear <<First Name>>,

The final tee-times are listed below - there have been some time changes so please take the time to check your final slot. We now have consecutive times from 9.40am until 12.00pm.

The entry instructions and game rules/ information are also contained within.

If you have any questions, please email sbgc.captain@hotmail.com - noting that any drop-outs will face the future prospect of playing in a fourball specially chosen by the Committee!!

Let's hope for a great day and good luck to you all.

Entrance Fees & Tee Times

Entry fee is £10 (which will be taken from your Competition Purse) to cover split of prizes and charity donation. Please top-up your purse (by increments of £36 only) if you don't have sufficient funds.

See below details and current draft of teams / tee times (which may be subject to change).
There is room for additional players / team, where formal signup is via Masterscoreboard which will be open until 9pm Wednesday 12 May 2021.

Important: Team Leader (Player 1 listed in group) should sign in each person on team using the touchscreen in the Clubhouse and should enter the team score after the round and send a picture of team scorecard to sbgc.captain@hotmail.com.

Unfortunately no food from the clubhouse included this year because of restrictions, so for the fee this year (where much of it will go charity in any case) every player receives:
  • 1 mulligan (to be used from a tee),
  • 1 free raffle ticket (extra raffle tickets are also available for purchase, where they money can come from the purse or be paid directly on the day) to win baskets and/or other prizes. Please contact John Eade eade.family@talk21.com
  • chance to win a prize if they pick the closest length of the first hole drive distance for one (or more) of the 3 captains, where picks should be emailed to eade.family@talk21.com with estimated picks in this order (1) Men's - Peter Lomax, (2) Seniors - Trevor Cromwell & (3) Ladies - Linda Eade.

Team prizes for top 6 teams with best scores and also 2 prizes for teams that do not fully achieve, but also are not the bottom two teams (meaning 3rd and 4th from bottom).

Nearest to the pin on 2 and 5.

Game Rules & Details

  • Texas Scramble Format.
  • Ladies off red tees and men off yellow.
  • Minimum 4 counting tee-shots per player.

The team Handicap should generally be calculated by Masterscoreboard upon signing in (see instructions above).

Below are the details of how Texas Scramble Team Handicaps should be calculated:

Each player has a course handicap determined using relevant tee and ladies receive an additional 3 shots.
The Team Handicap calculation is:
4 players: 25%+20%+15%+10% from lowest to highest handicap + if ladies in the group then add 1/4*(number of ladies in group)*3.6
3 players: 30%+20%+10% from lowest to highest handicap + if ladies in the group then add 1/3*(number of ladies in group)*3.6
