Latest news on appointing our new vicar and a prayer request
Thank you for your prayers and patience as we’ve been working on the search for our new vicar. Knowing we are in your prayers and have your support has meant so much to us.
We have shortlisted three candidates, all are excellent in many ways and we feel incredibly blessed to have received their wise and well considered applications. In the last few days we have hosted them and their families in parish visits. Some of you will have seen them in the church, vicarage, Tiger or village. For those they met briefly, thank you for your discretion, we’re sure you were itching to ask questions. The parish visits have gone well and we felt we had a good opportunity to get to know them and of course allow them to quiz us on all things Lindfield for a few hours.
The final interviews are scheduled for the week of 17 May. The preparations have gone well and there’s a real sense of unity and openness between the Diocese, the Church Society and the Churchwardens.
We hope to make the final selection and appoint our new vicar by end of May.
Please pray for the logistics of the interviews; that the candidates know His love and support and that we ask the right questions to discern His choice for us. Katie Spensley and Laurence Trigwell, ASL Churchwardens and Parish Reps
All Saints@Prayer
Please join us for our next whole church prayer meeting on Wednesday 19 May at 8.00pm.
We are holding our first in-person welcome tea for over a year on Sunday 4 July in the afternoon in the Tiger lounge. These welcome teas give people who are new to All Saints a chance to hear more about us and to meet a few members as well as the clergy. If you have started visiting All Saints in the last few months at in-person church services, or watched our services online – we would love the opportunity to get to know you a little better and to share something of what All Saints is all about. If you would like to be invited, please get in touch with the church office (01444 482405) or email: sarah@lindfield.info Sarah Hagger

Women Together: Deeper Still

If you would like to order a copy of her book "Deeper Still" do get in touch with the church office.
Mental Health Awareness Week
Between Monday 10–Sunday 16 May we shall be taking part in Mental Health Awareness week by posting one video a day.
These videos are designed to sensitively and honestly talk through some of the difficult issues that surround mental health, with a Christian perspective at their heart.
The videos are for those in the midst of struggle, those supporting someone and for those who want to know more.
You will find these videos on our YouTube channel.
If you find these videos raise painful issues for you then please make sure you talk to someone you trust, drop one of the church pastors a line, and/or talk to your GP. Jonny Payne, Youth Pastor
Thy Kingdom Come 2021
We are inviting the All Saints church family to partake in Thy Kingdom Come – a global prayer movement that runs from Ascension to Pentecost. This year, that is from Thursday 13 – Sunday 23 May.
The whole point of TKC is that, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we join together in prayer for the following:
That our faith in Jesus would be deepened
That the Holy Spirit would bless and empower us as we spread the gospel
That we pray specifically for five friends or family members to come to a living faith in Jesus.
During this time, why not join with the local prayer initiative that involves the churches in Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath? This initiative involves people signing up to pray in hour slots over TKC. Sign up is online, but feel free to pray wherever you choose when it’s your slot. Please join with our local brothers and sisters and sign up here: https://www.24-7prayer.com/signup/87a220 There is no limit on how many hour slots you can sign up for, nor are there any limitations on how many people can sign up for one slot. So please, do sign up! “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Rom 12:12 Jonny Payne, Youth Pastor

Five Talents Tour de Talents
Thank you on behalf of Five Talents UK for praying about the Tour de Talents and thank you even more if you logged your miles. More than 6,300 miles were travelled and some £11,044 was raised from the sponsors. The original distance target of 2,848 was achieved within three days! https://www.fivetalents.org.uk/ Richard Browning
Mission Partner Focus: Julian and Nicky Milson
The children’s residency, that we will hear ASAP as this is holding up any plans to visit the UK this summer.
Theo as he continues with schooling at the British School and Jemima as she continues with her education at home. Both are working hard and are quite tired.
The vaccine roll-out here as it is very slow and quite chaotic. We know very few people who have been vaccinated and are not sure if and when we qualify.
Julian that he will continue to preach God’s word faithfully and people will have open hearts.
Give thanks for
Church – we are seeing people return to meet in the building on Sundays but our (Covid) capacity is only 30 people so we have to find ways of being creative in a small space! This Sunday we have a baptism so please pray for safety with extra guests.
Jemima and Theo (and one other from our church) that they were able to join in a youth event at the weekend for churches in Valencia, where around 50 people attended (the most there has ever been!).
PRAYER Praying for the Church Family
Please continue to hold in your prayers those known to you who may be especially in need of God's comfort at this time and especially for:
