It’s been a tough year for us all, so building a positive mindset and resilience to mental health difficulties has never been as important as it is today.
With our team expanding over the last few months, we’ve been very busy and want to share some of our hard work, and some exciting opportunities, with you.

Mental Health Awareness Week

During this year’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we’ve been spotlighting some of our amazing partners, such as Good Thinking London, Sustainably, and Black Minds Matter.

Sustainably are an amazing app that allow you to donate to your chosen charity through monthly donations, or rounding up your pennies when you spend. The Foundation for Positive Mental Health are one of the many charities available on their app

Good Thinking London are an NHS-approved wellbeing service offering both our adult and our teens apps, alongside other wellbeing resources, to anyone living or working in London wanting support tackling sleep, anxiety, stress, or depression.

Black Minds Matter are a charity connecting black individuals and families with free mental health resources across the UK, including the Feeling Good App during this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week. Black Minds Matter are currently running a fundraiser in order to guarantee the continuation of their incredible work.

Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month

May is #MaternalMentalHealthAwarenessMonth, so make sure you’re following our social media pages to learn more about what maternal mental health actually means, and how different people manage the difficulties that come with this particular kind of mental health.

Incoming Feeling Good App Translation

We're really pleased to be working with Feniks Support Centre to develop a Polish translation of our Feeling Good App. We’re so excited about this collaboration and cannot wait to open up access to our app to the Polish community, and beyond.

Feeling Good for Schools

As the school-year comes towards a close, there is now a limited time to get the Feeling Good for Schools programme for free for your school. Schools in Scotland have until the end of this week (w/c Monday 10th May) to get in touch, whilst schools in England and Wales have until the end of May. If you know someone who would be interested, or would like to sign your school up, please get in touch with us via email at Roisin@fpmh.org.uk.

We've also teamed up with the Schools Advisory Service to provide free access to our app for all of their members, to provide them with some much needed support, after their incredible hard work and commitment to education over this past year.

Primary School Pilot

We're looking to pilot the Feeling Good for Schools programme with primary schools, to help ease the transition between primary and secondary. If you know someone who would be interested, would like to find out more, or would like to sign your school up, please get in touch with us via email at Roisin@fpmh.org.uk.

Our Feeling Good for Schools Programme has its own Instagram and Twitter pages too, visit them at the links below👇

University/College Recruitment

The pandemic has amplified discussions surrounding students’ mental health, and the wellbeing difficulties faced in University environments, but we understand that these difficulties existed before the pandemic, and will, unfortunately, likely exist beyond the pandemic. Therefore, we’re looking to collaborate with more universities and colleges to provide our Feeling Good App to their students. If your university or college would be interested in getting involved, or you would like to find out more, please get in touch with us via email at Serena@fpmh.org.uk.

NHS Work

We are pleased to be continuing to support the free use of the Feeling Good App within NHS Lothian. We have now been working with them for 16 years, and the number of professionals and patients using the app has grown year on year. During the pandemic we reached out to all Health and Social Care staff across Scotland, running regular webinars. As a result of this the Scottish Government asked us to run regular webinars, supporting free access to the Feeling Good App, across the whole of Scotland for Health and Social care staff and for unpaid carers, which are well attended and well received.

Blogs

We have recently launched our Feeling Good Blog, where we feature blogs and interviews from app-users, mental health advocates, team members, and much more, on a variety of topics surrounding positive mental health and wellbeing. Our first blog is currently available, on the effects of stress and developing your own personal ways of combating stress. If you have a story to share, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via email Saffron@fpmh.org.uk.
