As the June deadline approaches, we want to remind our community about the new annual membership contribution. In case you missed it, please find the most recent correspondence about it here. Our team will continue to reach out in the next two weeks and we ask that you share your intentions with us by June 10 if you have not yet done so. We deeply thank each of you for your support, leadership, and engagement as we work together to realize the goals outlined in our five-year plan.

Session 3: Transforming Economic Justice to Advance Gender Equality
Wednesday, May 19, 2021
2 PM - 3 PM ET
|
|
Featured Speakers:
Ann Cairns - Executive Vice Chair, Mastercard
Rosita Najmi - Head of Global Social Innovation, Paypal
Moderated by: Rosie Campbell - Director, Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College
Women drive economies in businesses, as entrepreneurs, on farms, and in care economies (paid and unpaid). Poverty, exploitation, and gender discrimination block access to economic assets and opportunities, limiting women’s meaningful participation to shape economic and social policies. Investing in women’s economic empowerment can be a path towards gender equality and more inclusive economic growth. With a small but visible minority of women in senior positions, more inclusive and effective leadership on economic rights and justice is achievable.

PLP IMMERSION EXPERIENCE

Exploring the Intersections of Climate, Gender & Race
May - June, 2021
|
|
A big thank you to the great group of members who joined from across the globe on May 6 for Session 1 of our first-ever PLP immersion experience, Exploring the Intersections of Climate, Gender & Race. The 90 min. flew by with facilitation from climate activists, Drs. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine Wilkinson, and we were honored to hear from special guest speaker Sherri Mitchell, Founding Director of the Land Peace Foundation. We look forward to our remaining two sessions together for more sharing, dialogue, and connection.
If you’re interested to see a bit more about what we are learning about, here are some resources from Session 1 which include essays from Katharine & Ayana’s book All We Can Save.
