Hello friends!
Time is flying by as it tends to do in the spring, is it not? It still feels like just last week we were in January... But, a lot has happened since then and I'm excited to update you all on this last month! As always, thank you for being here, for hearing our hearts and for encouraging us to press into the calling God's put on our lives to reach youth!
Camp 2021 Is A GO!
One of the biggest things that happened this month was securing a camp location and getting registration up and running. We locked down camp dates at Clearwater Church in Fort Collins and set up our own registration page on our website! Though this will be our 4th camp, this is our first at a different location and hosting independently from Faith Church, so there's excitement and anxiety with this process- but mostly I love it!

What To Pray For:
Pray for God's will and leading, not our own, in every detail of this camp.
Pray for a team to come together from different churches in the area.
Pray for non-believers and those needing to rediscover Jesus to be moved to come to camp!

This month I have spent a lot of time updating and preparing our website (check it out here!) for some big changes in the Fall. We are currently preparing a "package" that will be available for churches to download that will include everything they need to start a Half Step at their church (as well as access to us)! This is a lot of work and we are very excited about it. We realize that there has been a gap between youth leaders "loving the idea" of Half Step and "executing" the start of the program in the past, so we are trying to adjust our strategy/what we can offer to make this even more accessible to other churches.

Half Step at Faith
This Tuesday will be Half Step's second ever Battle of the Bands concert with limited guests and hopefully livestreamed! This will also be our last week on the leadership team at this Half Step and it truly feels like a big leap of faith. There still is no clear leader in place for who will be directing in the fall, but we know it is finally time for us to release this ministry and trust that God will do what God wants to do in bringing people to Himself.
To recap: we raised up young leaders to take over this ministry once we and the current director, Alicia, stepped out this semester. We praise God for how He's grown Sawyer, Mckey, Zoë and several other former students and volunteers to be leaders! However, it's felt clear that "directing" the ministry is not a role any of them feel called to at this point in time. So the youth pastor is building a new team and we are providing whatever resources we can so that they can be successful in the Fall.
It's strange to say "goodbye" to Half Step at Faith; there's a lot of emotions! There is also peace though in knowing that this is the right time and that this is a necessary growing pain in order to keep moving towards our ultimate goal of multiplying the impact this ministry can have.

This was our 2nd semester, May 2017. We have loved every high and low that this ministry and people brought us. My favorite thing about this photo is seeing FOUR of those little freshman/sophomores that are current LEADERS!

What To Pray For:
Pray for peace and gratefulness above all else as we let go of leading at this ministry we love dearly.
Pray for those stepping into leader roles at Half Step at Faith.
Pray for God to use this ministry to be a community that attracts those who don't know Jesus.
Pray for the youth pastor at Faith as he leads a new team and for this transition to be as smooth as it can be.
