Sheffield Doc Fest

Brought to you by Sheffield DocFest is the Community Programme, a brand new programme of screenings, workshops and talks that tell the stories of communities across the world. It's about thoughts, ideas and manifestos made possible by people coming together - our world viewed up close and from a distance; the bonds that stick us together; the stories that tell our history, our present, our culture and the places we call home.

Part of this is a new programme for schools and people working with young people in Sheffield, as well as a programme of inclusive cinema especially programmed for neuro-diverse people in Sheffield. If you or your school would like to get involved you can find out more here.

New Tricks is Site Gallery's skill based workshop programme that demystifies the technology used by artists, these workshops can be adapted to meet all groups, ages and abilities! For more information please email alfie.heffer@sitegallery.org.

Create Sheffield partners Rosie Carnall and Kate Halliwell are working with DECSY (Development Education Centre South Yorkshire) to offer a number of funded Philosophy for Communities sessions. These offer a group (of any and all ages) the chance to engage in creative, critical, collaborative and caring thinking to explore big questions together. This is a fun and stimulating way for people to express themselves and learn from others. If you are working with, or are part of, a group that likes discussing ideas and would like to try a new way of getting into a topic please do get in touch. We will be offering a number of free sessions to community groups. Get in touch if you are interested.
