The Great Offshore The Great Offshore is an artistic research project by RYBN.org aiming to highlight the inner mechanisms, networks and agents of offshore finance, and how they shape new kinds of extra-territorialities beyond legislation.
The project studies the recent manifestations of offshore within the processes of financialisation of art, citizenship, and climate change unregulation, etc. Ultimately, it is an attempt to understand how offshore has grown and spread from its primary form of tax havens to become the new economic norm of globalisation.
RYBN.org is a Paris-based collective engaging in extra-disciplinary artistic research within the realms economics and information technologies. http://rybn.org/
The Great Offshore The Great Offshore on taiteellinen tutkimusprojekti, jossa RYBN.org kartoittaa veroparatiisitalouden sisäisiä mekanismeja, verkostoja ja toimijoita sekä sitä, miten offshore-teollisuus luo vyöhykkeitään lainsäädännön tavoittamattomiin.
Projekti tutkii offshore-talouden vaikutuksia mm. taidekeinotteluun, kansalaisuuteen ja ilmastonmuutokseen. Tavoitteena on ymmärtää, miten sen muodot ovat kehittyneet varhaisista veroparatiiseista globalisaation keskeiseksi käyttövoimaksi.
RYBN.org on pariisilainen taiteilijakollektiivi joka tutkii talouden ja tietoteknologian todellisuuksia monialaisesti. http://rybn.org/

Algoffshore at Alkovi gallery
SAT 5 JUNE 2 PM - SUN 13 JUNE 6 PM
RYBN.org exhibits a series of conceptual diagrams of optimization processes, the Algoffshore. The diagrams depict how offshore industries maximize profitability through tax evasion, money laundering through art or crypto-currencies, escaping liability, liquefying citizenship, etc. Alkovi, Helsinginkatu 19. Offshore Tours and Workshop SAT 5 JUNE 11 AM -2 PM Offshore Tour Operator is a psycho-geographic GPS prototype that guides the walk of the user through the database of the Panama Papers, in search of physical traces of offshore banking within the Helsinki landscape. The Great Offshore Radio Performance
SAT 12 JUNE, 5-6 PM The live radio performance is based on various sonic layers of fractal dimensions: it mixes a proxified audio hunt for the financial spectres haunting Helsinki city centre, a poetic dérive within the terra incognita of offshore territories. SAT 5 JUNE 2 PM - SUN 13 JUNE 6 PM Alkovin näyttelyssä RYBN.org esittää sarjan käsitekaavioita, jotka kuvaavat veroparatiisi-yritysten keinoja maksimoida voittoa. Algoffshore-kaavioiden menetelmiä ovat mm. verosuunnittelu, rahanpesu kryptovaluuttojen tai taiteen avulla sekä keinottelu vastuuvapaudella ja oleskeluluvilla. Alkovi, Helsinginkatu 19. Avoinna 24 h.
Offshore -kävelyt ja työpaja LA 5.6. 11-14 Offshore Tour Operator on psykogeografinen GPS-laite, joka ohjaa käyttäjänsä Panaman paperit -tietokannan reiteille, etsimään näkyviä merkkejä veroparatiisitaloudesta Helsingin maisemassa. The Great Offshore Radio Performance
SAT 12 JUNE, 5-6 PM Live-radioperformanssi on poeettinen vaellus offshore-vyöhykkeiden tuntemattomalla maaperällä. Äänimaisema perustuu fraktaalisiin kerrostumiin, jossa liikkuvat äänilähteet metsästävät finanssin haamuja Helsingin keskustassa. European Media Art Platform EMAPco-productions The Great Offshore is co-produced by RYBN and m-cult in context of the European Media Art Platform EMAP's residency programme. Results of the 4-year programme will be presented at the move to... festival hosted by Werkleitz over three weekends in June and in September at Ars Electronica.
The move to... sociosphere programme in June 18-20 focuses on social, political and economic structures of our globalized society. It presents m-cult co-productions Bottled Songs, The Web Politics Trilogy, Care Project Administration and The Great Offshore in installation and online video formats.
European Media Art Platform EMAP-yhteistuotantoa The Great Offshore on RYBN.orgin ja m-cultin yhteistuotanto osana European Media Art Platform EMAP -verkoston residenssiohjelmaa. 4-vuotisen ohjelman tulokset esitetään Werkleitzin tuottamassa move to...-festivaalissa kolmen kesäkuun viikonlopun aikana, ja syyskuussa Ars Electronica -festivaalilla.
Festivaali käynnistyy 18.-20.6. move to... sociosphere -teemalla, joka keskittyy yhteiskunnan, politiikan ja talouden globaaleihin rakenteisiin. Ohjelmassa nähdään installaatioina ja online-videoilla m-cultin yhteistuotannot Bottled Songs, The Web Politics Trilogy, Care Project Administration ja The Great Offshore.
