Chromebook & Hotspot Return
Chromebooks and hotspots should be turned into Mrs. Caldwell in the library. We still have a number of students who have not turned in Chromebooks.

If your student will attend summer school, please have them email Mrs. Caldwell or stop by and tell her that they will keep their Chromebooks.

Schedules

We have a significant number of students who have not keyed their schedule information into the Home Access Center (HAC). Please check with your student and see if they submitted their schedules to HAC.

If your student is taking concurrent credit classes, please make sure that they have completed their application(s) and MOU. If they signed up for concurrent credit classes after 5/19/2021, please have them email me so that I can send them registration information.

Exchange Student Hosting Opportunities

ASSE International Student Exchange Program is currently placing high school exchange students across the U.S. for the academic year starting in August or September.

Among this group of extraordinary students is a young lady from Germany named Ema. Her favorite subjects in school are English, history and politics. She also enjoys geography, art, and debating in English. She is her class representative at her school. Her hobbies/interests include the school newspaper club, martial arts and cheerleading.

Another highly-motivated student is Palvo from Ukraine. He is a winner of the prestigious Future Leader Exchange Program (FLEX) scholarship!  His favorite activities are ballroom dance and drama. Pavlo enjoys other hobbies including debate, basketball, bicycling, and football. He also likes to travel and enjoys animals.

If you would like more information on ASSE's program or how you could host Pauline, Abril, or another student please call Debbie at 850-866-6508 or email her at debbie@asse.com. You can learn more about ASSE by visiting www.host.asse.com

Concurrent Credit to Workforce Ready

Your students are currently working on their school schedules for next year. One type of class your student has to choose from is concurrent credit. Through this type of class, your student earns high school and college credit from the same class. We offer several concurrent credit classes that help students prepared to enter the workforce while they are still in high school.

These classes are a good fit for students who plan to enter the workforce after high school or students who plan to work their way through college. Workforce-oriented concurrent credit classes are offered through Arkansas Tech University - Ozark Campus. A variety of workforce options are available including:
  • Banking
  • Allied Health
  • Welding
  • Logistics Management
  • Law Enforcement
  • Computer Information Technology
Some classes may require a qualifying ACT (or Accuplacer) score for admittance.

We also offer general education courses through Arkansas Tech University.

The video below gives a brief introduction to our workforce concurrent credit classes and instructors.
