Palette Skills SalesCamp

The Palette Skills SalesCamp is a one-week training program designed to help participants transition careers by providing live, online training and connections to hiring managers, career coaches and SalesCamp alumni. Information Session and Call for Proposals — Post-Secondary Education Fund for Aboriginal Learners

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) is holding an information session for faculty, staff and students on the Post-Secondary Education Fund for Aboriginal Learners (PEFAL) on June 15, 2021. OII is inviting the U of T community to submit their PEFAL application by July 16, 2021.

Schwartz Reisman Fellowships

The Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society is seeking fellows from across the sciences, social sciences and humanities who are conducting work on ensuring powerful new technologies like AI are effective, safe, ethical and fair, and who are interested in reconceptualizing the ways technology, systems and society interact. Up to 15 U of T graduate student and four faculty member fellowships are available.

Application deadline: June 25, 2021

Call for Nominations — Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International Student Experience (PDAD&C #75)

Professor Joe Wong was recently appointed as Vice-President, International. Professor Wong was previously Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International Student Experience. This is a call for nominations for individuals to be considered as Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International Student Experience. Nominations are due June 30, 2021.

Appointment of Chair and Graduate Chair, Department of Mathematics

Professor Robert Jerrard has been appointed Chair and Graduate Chair of the Department of Mathematics for a five-year term from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2026. 

Review of the Role of Campus Safety Services in Student Mental Health Crises

The University of Toronto has initiated a review of the role of Campus Safety Services in student mental health crises led by Professor Joe Desloges, Provostial Advisor on Process Redesign of Mental Health Services. All members of the University community are invited to submit their feedback. Additional details about the review and the consultation process are available on the consultation website.

Fulbright Canada Research Chairs

Fulbright Canada Research Chairs support research with colleagues across the US for a four- to nine-month period. Applications will be accepted through November 15, 2021 with a start date of September 2022 or January 2023. Visit the Fulbright website for complete program details.

Reminder: A&S Online Learning Academy Summer Drop-In Sessions

Online Learning Academy Faculty Liaisons and members of the Teaching Technology Support team are available to answer any questions about teaching online — from considerations about course and assignment design to effectively using Quercus and integrating educational technologies. Join the drop-in sessions on Microsoft Teams.

Automatic Deletion of Bb Collaborate & Zoom Cloud Recordings

Please be advised that all Bb Collaborate recordings created prior to May 1, 2021, will be automatically deleted June 30, 2021. For more information on the Bb Collaborate recordings clean-up, visit ACT’s Collaborate Recordings Memo or follow this guide for backing up your Bb Collaborate recordings.

Also, the University of Toronto’s Zoom Education license has a 120-day retention period for cloud recordings and your Zoom recordings will automatically be deleted after 120 days. If you wish to retain your Zoom recordings, follow these steps for archiving your recordings.
