Westcliffe Worships

While we don't have any photos to share with you, on May 30th we held our third Westcliffe Worships event.  The theme of this one was Through the Decades.  Several came up afterwards to express their appreciation.  One gentleman was undone for having been in the presence of God.

Around 110 individuals spent over 90 minutes singing excerpts of 42 songs.  We watched as the congregation collectively lifted their voices to the Lord.  One little girl was completely overtaken by the worship.  She kept telling her mom, "We have to stand up!"  Then when the worship flags were added, she was totally enthralled.  Dallas really wishes we had a picture of that innocent child-like worship. If you didn't receive the blog regarding bringing our sacrifice of praise, you can get it here.

Admin volunteer needed

While we have a board member who has been invaluable in assisting with limited administrative tasks (Thank you, Yvonne!), Blue Fire Legacy is in immediate need of an administrative volunteer.  As the ministry grows, it is becoming more difficult for Mark and Dallas to cover all the necessary roles.

Ideally, this individual will be detail oriented with excellent proof-reading and communication skills.  Additionally, they will be proactive to address administrative needs within the context of ministry norms.  Other duties include keeping our databases up to date and providing clients with requested information.  Skill sets required include working in G-Suite, MailChimp, WordPress, and preferably formatting knowledge for bound publications.

We estimate the current work to be 2 to 5 hours per week and can all be done remotely.  If you, or anyone you know, are interested, please contact us.

We've Finished Writing

We've completed writing our second book!  We have it out to content readers for editing, and we will submit it to our grammatical reviewers next.  There are several illustrations in this title, and we are thrilled to have worked with this budding illustrator.   Shout out to Akilah Picou for all her hard work to capture our ideas in graphic form.  Thank you!

We do not yet have the funds for printing, though we are trusting the Lord to provide them.  Our goal is to have Breaking the Burdensome Yoke: A Discipleship Course in Forgiving and Grieving to the printer by the end of July.

With current inventory, it will be necessary to order another print run of Behind Enemy Lines: A Discipleship Course in Spiritual Warfare soon as well.

How are Clients Finding You?
Intensives, New Clients and Calendar

How do people find out about you?  Largely, they find us because God orchestrates it.  More than once, we've had clients tell us they found us on resource pages where we aren't even listed.  Word of mouth referrals and the presence of our website online are our more consistent methods of exposure. Recent we received this comment from a client when asked how they found us, "I prayed. I googled, and you were there."

Last Friday, Dallas concluded a 3 day intensive with a single female missionary who is spending a year stateside. We have another one scheduled for August.

We have taken on 11 new clients since June 4th!  Since we don't charge for services, busier does not translate into more income. It does demand more creativity in scheduling, however.  We are continuing to pray for the Lord to send another couple to join us in serving the clients with counseling, coaching, and teaching.

Our schedule is quite full between client meetings, getting the book to the printer, speaking engagements, and scheduled time for self care.  Looking ahead we will be traveling much of September and October in addition to our regular client meetings and teaching engagements.

Ministry Needs

We are adding a new section to our newsletters to better help our supporters be aware of ministry needs.  Some of the current needs are:
  • funds to provide stable, consistent paychecks for us
  • additional counseling staff and sufficient funds to hire them
  • admin volunteer able to dedicate needed time and specific skills
  • printing funds for both books
  • travel funds for speaking engagements and meeting pastors and missionaries in need on location
  • office space for meetings (we are having conflicts with simultaneous meetings in our home)
  • office chairs better suited for sitting long periods of time
  • building funds to develop Legacy Heights, our retreat center location
  • RV coach or 5th wheel and appropriate towing vehicle or funds to purchase
