RCSCW backing the blue with Griffith Blue Heart
On Sunday, June 6, the Rec Centers will be teaming up with the Griffith Blue Heart team to help support their services in reality-based lessons learned in the field as first responders and first-hand cardiac arrest survival.
Griffith Blue Heart offers one-of-a-kind services and training designed to increase emergency cardiac survival by outfitting, instructing, and inspiring our fastest first responders and peace officers.
This is a private training that will be held at the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center near the Lecture Hall. You may see a select group of men and women working in specific scenarios to help build proper tactical training during cardiac situations. Certain areas will be blocked off such as the parking lot, Great Lawn, and breezeway. Spectators will not be allowed but the Rec Centers wanted to share this information with the community, so you are informed on the training aspect and understand that this is not a real life situation during this time.
If you would like to learn more on Griffith Blue Heart and learn more about who they are, please feel free to visit their website.

Updates from the SCW Posse
Summer is upon us and more and more people are ordering items online and packages are being delivered to Sun City West homes. As the Posse patrols the streets, they try to be particularly alert to packages hanging on gates in the back of condo areas and also placed at front doors of houses. Their procedure is to call the Posse dispatcher and give them the address of the package location and then they call the resident of the delivery. In this way, no address is given out over the air waves.  This is time consuming process but the Posse feels it is the safest way to notify a resident of their delivery. If you see a package at your friend or neighbor’s home, give them a call and alert them of their delivery, you may help prevent a theft.
The SCW Posse would also like to notify residents that their fingerprinting service has been reinstated at the Posse building. Learn more about it here.
