Dear <<First Name>>,
Josh here from SmartSocial.com. How much do you know about TikTok?
You can find short videos for entertainment or learn "life hacks" watching the fun videos, but do you know who can see your videos and activity?

What would your students do when a stranger contacts them or comments on their video?
Does your student's TikTok profile showing all their videos appear in their Google results (it can)?

This week's LIVE VIP event goes into even more detail about how TikTok works, how students are using it, why it is so addictive, and the dangers students and parents need to know.

Here's what we'll cover in the Navigating TikTok (A Course for Student & Parents) LIVE Thursday, June 3 at 6 PM Pacific/9 PM Eastern
  • How to brand your TikTok to have fun and Shine Online
  • How to make sure your “liked videos” aren’t shown to strangers
  • How to set who can send you messages and comment on your videos
  • How to set security alerts
  • How to temporarily hide certain videos to make your TikTok more positive

Social media challenges usually come in waves after they become wildly popular, then fade away, then eventually recircle to become popular again. The Benadryl Challenge is in this wave and drug manufacturers are still warning users about the dangers of this challenge.

In short, the Benadryl Challenge encourages users to take excessive doses of allergy medication with the hopes of hallucinating. Users then share videos on social media of themselves during their overdose or talking about the experience.

While many social media filters have caught on to specific hashtags about this dangerous challenge and block them from posting, teens can still find ways to talk about it in person or online and may consider trying it. Learn about the challenge and how to talk with your teens about the peer pressure of social media challenges on our Benadryl Challenge: What Parents Need to Know blog today!
