Introduction:
Scott County Hospital and Scott City Clinic provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis.
Our new 68,000 square foot, 25-bed facility was completed in June of 2012. With all of our recent growth, SCH has added a new wing for our specialty outreach clinics. This is also a new entrance for Occupational and Physical Therapy services. This project was completed and opened in July of 2019.
Job Description:
Scott County Hospital has an immediate opening for a Health Information Management Coordinator. This position is non-exempt 40 hour per week, M-F 8am-5pm. The HIM Coordinator coordinates all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the Health Information Management department and the processing of patient health records in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices. High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification as RHIT or RHIA required. We offer competitive wages and excellent benefits.
