Call Gov. Newsom
Dear <<First Name>>

Hi, SALUTATION,

Family child care providers need your help!

Child care is the only way many working parents can balance career success with family responsibilities. Child care and early education are critical pieces of our human infrastructure - and essential for everyone to get back to work and recover from this pandemic!

Call Gov. Newsom TODAY from 9 am - 5 pm at 1-844-300-3801 and urge him to ensure family child care providers can keep their doors open!

Family child care providers are critical to California, yet we’re paid less than minimum wage. We have been meeting with the state to reach an agreement that will expand child care options for working families and make care more affordable. Our next bargaining session is on Thursday. Providers need the state to deliver a proposal on pay rates that is worthy of the essential work we do every day.

Please call Gov. Newsom NOW to make sure pay rates for providers are increased in this upcoming proposal!

With a record surplus, the state can increase pay for providers, expand child care openings and make it affordable for working families.

Call Governor Newsom at 1-844-300-3801

Tell him that family child care providers need his help NOW and that without increased pay rates, many providers will be forced to close due to skyrocketing costs.

After you make your call, ask five friends, family members, co-workers, and other working parents to also call the governor. It will take all of us to secure child care providers' first union contract, and build a system that works for all families.

In Solidarity,
