At the start of each month I write about a topic that's been on my mind, share patterns and items available for purchase, links I've found interesting, and a summary of recent blog posts. And because I know what everyone really cares about, a cat photo or two.

On my Mind
I'm working on several book reviews and plan to share them in this Friday's blog post. Honestly, I find writing them challenging. Why? It's hard to balance the factors that I find most useful based on my personal experiences against those that someone with a different background needs.
The focus of my reviews depends on several factors including:
- who is it for? is it an introduction or does it cover an advanced technique?
- what type of book? is it a stitch dictionary, tutorial, pattern collection, or combination of all three?
- how can one buy it? is it available for purchase today or pre-order?
I'm curious and hope you'll either reply to this newsletter or contact me and let me know what you like to know about crafting books before you make a purchase.
Can't wait? My review of Adventure Cables by Meghan Jones is available at NetGalley now. This book is a pattern collection with extensive tips and tutorials. It's geared toward intermediate knitters and is available for pre-order. It will be released in September.
Forthcoming reviews include: Knit Hats with Woolly Wormhead and Mix and match knit sweater designs by Rita Maaßen.

New!
As you look around my website, you'll find a slowly growing collection of tools available for purchase. This has been in the works for several years and it's time to get the inventory out of my studio so I can have space for making new things.
I ship most items via USPS Priority mail and if you spend $100 or more you can unlock free shipping!
I also understand it's nice to have choices in where to purchase your digital patterns. For multiple reasons, sales on my site are limited to customers in the United States. If you are based internationally, you can find my patterns on Payhip and Lovecrafts as well as on Ravelry.
I'm also working on making my PDF patterns more accessible. I thank you for your patience and please contact me if you have questions or concerns.
