Areté Excellence: National Panel for Community Schools Recovery Labs

Last week Executive Director, Sarah Benis Scheier-Dolberg, and Internship Supervisor, Kailyn Espinosa, presented to a national audience as panels for the National Center for community Schools. The panel featured a recent report published that studied the impact of Arete Education and 28 other CBOS that responded to the pandemic by supporting young people across New York City during the ever-changing and unprecedented context of the summer and fall of 2020. While Recovery Lab responded to the immediate needs of our city, what we learned along the way is a set of ideas about policy and practice that we believe has implications for the long term and beyond New York City. Check out the recording link below of the panel presentation - Kailyn was the star guest!
