From Second Fridays on The Commons to Wonder Wednesdays to YTH Week to the Summer Grocery Program, we are entering into a time of opportunity! For all the things we missed last summer, we will only grow this summer if we gather!

While each week there will be different activities and ministries on campus, one consistent way to gather is through the Summer Grocery Program. This is an evolution of the MUST Summer Lunch Program and an extension of My Neighbor's Pantry. Every Monday from June 7 to August 9, neighbors will be able to pick up groceries from 5-7 p.m. using the drive-thru line behind the Fellowship Hall. There are multiple volunteer shifts from noon to 7 p.m. To learn more, to volunteer, or to see a list of needed donations, visit our
missions page.

With a new sense of freedom to travel, combined with a new appreciation of flexibility, make summer plans to be in ministry here on the RUMC campus. Through food and fellowship and time, there is something waiting for you here!

In the spirit of sharing your gifts with others, I share with you one of my favorite family recipes! For a delicious homemade Fanta ice cream!

Take your hand-cranked ice cream maker, put the metal cylinder in the middle of the wooden basket. Combine the condensed milk and Fanta in the cylinder and close the lid. In the wooden basket, around the cylinder, layer ice and salt, using plenty of salt! Repeat layers all the way to the top of the wooden bucket! Crank away! If you think you are done, crank some more! Don’t forget, the youngest gets to crank first, and the oldest gets the first taste – at least that was our rule!

Blessings,
Marion
