Patio Picnics (members and volunteers)
Friday, June 4, 18. 11:30 am–1 pm
Join 4 to 6 Viva Village members and volunteers for conversation and lunch on outdoor decks or patios. Once you reply, you will be assigned to a group and notified about the location and the host's contact information. You bring your own lunch. Everyone wears a face mask (except when eating) and follows distancing guidelines.

Every Monday for six weeks, starting June 7. 1–2 pm
Martha McJacobs from Life by Design guides participants through exercises and discussions focused on using meditation techniques to reduce stress.

Online Travel Talk: The Emerald Isle (members and volunteers)
Monday, June 14. 7 pm (second Monday)
Enjoy an evening with Viva Village members Maryellen and Mike Conner as they share slides and stories from their trip to Ireland. Travel with them as they discover this magical country. Visit Dublin, Belfast, the Giant’s Causeway, walk the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Donegal, Galway, and much more! Castles, pubs, and dramatic coastlines await.

VIVA VILLAGE CORNER
Shared by member/volunteer Sally Mundt the Adelman Peony Gardens (5690 Brookdale Rd. NE, Salem 97305) is open (9 am–6 pm) through June 13. This upcoming weekend, June 5 and 6, is "Bring Grandma" weekend—Grandma gets a free bouquet of 4 peony blooms! Admission is free to the display garden and farm.

AARP free online webinar. As part of AARP's 2021 "Aging Well" series, Viva Village member Jeanette Leardi presents: “What’s Age Got to Do with It? Busting the Myths About Getting Older,” June 23, 2–3:30 pm. Drawing from the latest scientific research, this engaging presentation will help you discover what aging is –– and what it isn’t.
