On May 25, Provincial officials announced a four-phase restart plan for British Columbia. Phase 4 of this plan, anticipated as early as September 7, would again allow large organized events such as indoor concerts and other performances. The criteria for moving to Step 4 requires at least 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and low COVID-19 hospitalizations.
If we all continue to do our part, we can reasonably expect that SOAP Theatre can proceed with a full season of three productions in the 2021-2022 season!

SOAP's upcoming Annual General Meeting will take place:
- Thursday June 24, 2021 at 7:00 pm
- "Big Blue" Building at 5840 Airport Street in Oliver
The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Approve the minutes of the June 25, 2020 Annual General Meeting
- Receive the President’s report
- Receive the Treasurer’s financial statements
- Update members on anticipated plans for 2021-22 Season
- Elect Directors for upcoming season
All required physical distancing protocols will be followed for seated indoor gatherings events under B1C's Provincial restart plan. Masks are mandatory and indoor attendance will be limited to 50 people.
If you are interested in Community Theatre, you are encouraged to attend our AGM. Find out what we have planned, see how you can be come involved and perhaps even step to serve as we elect our our board of directors for the coming season.

SOAP theatre has booked time slots for our usual 3-production season at Venables Theatre for 2021-2022. The tentative dates are:
- Fall Production: November 26, 27, 28, December 3, 4
- Winter Production: February 4, 5, 6, 11, 12
- Spring Production: April 22, 23, 24, 29, 30
Subject to confirmed reopening of theatres this fall, and availability of the directors and producers, we would still like to produce the shows we were planning for last season, which were Flaming Idiots, The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon and When the Wind Blows. More show and ticket information will be published as Covid re-opening plans in BC become finalized.
