Board Meeting Notes
At Tuesday’s meeting, the board of directors reviewed bids for holiday decorations at the monument signs and asked the management company to get more bids. The selection must be made before the fall.
The board voted to waive balances of $50 or less. Homeowners who have paid their assessment but have accrued late fees exceeding $50 will be sent a statement to remind them to pay the balance. The board voted to send final demand letters to homeowners who have not paid their 2021 assessment and voted to send 8 accounts with debt dating back to 2020 to the attorney for collections.
Homeowners who receive a final demand letter for 2021 are encouraged to contact the association through Crest Management and enter into a payment plan immediately to avoid being turned over to collections. This will save homeowners from having to pay additional legal fees.
While we cannot waive an assessment, we can work out payment terms and this process is less expensive for everyone if it can be done before being sent to the attorney. Once an account is turned over to the attorney for collections, all communications must go through the law office and not through Crest or the board members. Time is of the essence, so if you are behind and are in danger of being turned over to the attorney, this is your last opportunity to contact us and work out flexible terms.
