The Sunday Summary

Hello <<First Name>>, welcome to the Sunday Summary, a collection of my insight and behind the scenes from the past week.

What I’m reading (or Audible):
"Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives" - David Eagleman.

I seldom read fiction. But short chapter sized stories, especially pertaining to the sci-do nature of the afterlife, and then I’m all in. This book came onto my radar from Derek Sivers and I’m so glad to have come across it. It is a series’s of non connected ideas or notions of what possible afterlives could be.  Some scary, some incredibly close to the mark, others that really make you think and question being alive!
The bonus with the audio version is that there is a host of familiar voices narrating each story including; Stephen Fry and Noel Fielding (I’ve had him in the cab before as it happens!).

New product:
Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse

I’ve been toying with the idea of this mouse for sometime, being a long time Apple Magic Mouse user. Other than the obvious ergonomic benefits, I was largely sold on the idea of custom button mapping on an application by application basis. And more specifically Final Cut Pro X (what I used to edit all my taxi videos with). As I’m primarily dealing with long segments of clips, I’m constantly cutting and deleting clips.  If this mouse is able to shave minutes off each editing session, that soon becomes hours which in effect means it pays for itself. I am looking at the Logitech MX master keyboard but the only benefit to this over my current keyboard is the wireless capability. Would be interested to hear if anyone has this.

What I’m pondering.

I really would like to produce a new “challenge” style video for YouTube. You may have seen my “Beat the Meter”, “London Traffic light challenge” or the hugely popular “Taxi Driver vs Geoguessr”.  I’m looking for a new way to test my Knowledge of London.  This might include cycling, the tube, or even use of buses?  If anyone has some strong ideas or what they would like to see I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Please feel free to reach out to me with your; comments, concerns or just general conversation. 😁

Have a great week everyone!
