Church Anew: Annual Celebration 2021June 7-12
This year as we gather we will explore what it means to be Church Anew. The dictionary defines anew this way: “in a new or different and typically more positive way.” Our keynote will be presented by Valarie Kaur, a civil rights activist, lawyer, award-winning filmmaker, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, author of See No Stranger: A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love, and Sikh American voice. If you need any help at all navigating the schedule, registration, or participation in these events, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Please complete your registration by Friday, June 4.

Wholeness & Wellness Weekend at La Foret | August 27-29
A quiet space, a settled body, and a calm mind allow room for what is important in life to float to the surface. In that spirit, we are introducing the Wholeness & Wellness Weekend. Make time to connect to nature, your body, your deep self, and community. This is an intentionally diverse, innovative event, aiming to engage people of all religions or none, of every background and path. Our hosts and participants will bring a variety of offerings: massage, innovative yoga, hiking, creative expression, movement therapy, music, and so much more! Register here

Contemplative Camp | July 18-24
This adult event has been facilitated for the past 30+ years by the RMC's own Rev. Sally Palmer! Sal will be joined this year by Buddhist practitioner Ron Frost. Spend time in celebration of stillness and Mystery. Register here.

Grand Camp | July 2-4
For grandkids ages 5-11 and their grandparent(s) or grandparent surrogates. This is an extra special camp because it focuses on celebrating and building up the special bond between grandkids and grandparents through facilitated games, crafts, campfires, worship and other fun, classic camp activities. We believe this is such a valuable offering, that we have kept the costs quite low to make it accessible to more grands! There is room for only 4 more family groups, so sign up soon! Register here.

Pioneer Camp | July 11-17
This week-long overnight camp is for kids entering grades 2-4. The seasoned counselors are excellent at creating an amazing camp experience for our youngest campers, fostering independence, spiritual growth, and the all-important, social-emotional learning so essential to that age group. There are 10 spots left, and there are even more camperships available to first-time campers (in addition to usual, need-based camperships). Register here.

Racial Justice IS Economic Justice - Join the Movement | June 8, 10:00 am
Co-Purchase Colorado (CPC) is an initiative of the Center for Community Wealth Building (CCWB) that leverages combined congregational buying power to create meaningful change in the local economy. We are currently recruiting congregations to embody their social and racial justice values by purchasing needed goods and services from local, BIPOC, Immigrant, Women, LGTBQ, and Veteran-owned businesses. Eleven congregations have joined the cause (5 UCC, including La Foret Retreat Center), and we’d love to get more congregations involved! Please join us for a brief information session on June 8th from 10 -10:30. Register here. Please reach out to Ben Weeda with any questions.

Archway was awarded $45,000 from a Chase grant that was given to the Neighborhood Development Collaborative, a coalition of 18 Metro-Denver nonprofits building homes for middle and low income residents, strengthening neighborhoods with community-oriented businesses, and providing innovative human services. Learn more about Archway Communities
