Junior Regatta Assistance Needed on June 29 and June 30
This year we are hosting our junior regatta as a 2 day event and will be alternating with Rock Hall YC who will host the season opening event next year.
The regatta is Tuesday June 29th and Wednesday the 30th. We will have 3 race courses and are expecting 100+ boats. We need volunteers for a few hours in the morning to help with registration, parking, preparing lunches etc. All day volunteers for race committee and mark boats are also needed.
Below is a list of jobs we are looking for good people to fill. Please indicate how you can assist.
Registration - Tuesday morning (4-5 needed)
Parking - Tuesday morning
Crane Operator and general grounds help - Tuesday morning
Lunch preparation - early Tuesday and Wednesday - pick up sandwiches; bag for sailors to pickup at skippers meeting (2 - 3 needed)
Race committee - PRO boat - scoring - all day Tuesday and Wednesday (3 needed for each course - 9 total)
Mark boats - at least 4 boats needed - Tuesday and Wednesday
Mark boat - helper - Tuesday and Wednesday (3- 6 needed)
Don't worry if you are not experienced race committee - we will provide training.
Remember, help this year and get a bye for next year when the junior regatta will be held at Rock Hall.
We will also be looking for help for our Annual regatta July 24 and 25, the Penguin Internationals, September 18 and 19, and the Comet Internationals, October 8, 9, and 10.
