From Sunset4All - Advocates for protected bike lanes along Sunset Blvd in District 13

Hi Sunset4All Community,

We are looking to produce a Sunset4All promotional video and need your help. To contribute, please provide a 10 second video testimonial about Why You Want a Sunse4All using the directions below. The video will be used to fundraise for the outreach and construction of the project.

Please drop your video in THIS FOLDER by June 5, 2021. Or reply to this email: aashavit@gmail.com

Instructions:

Provide a 10 second video recorded response to the question: Why Do You Want a Sunset4All?

If possible, record your response standing on the Sunset corridor or inside a business on the corridor with a mask on.
Or record it outside in your own community street or backyard (outdoor lighting is better for recording).

Provide a short personalized answer like one of the following.

To bring in more customers
I want to hang out Polka Dot Plaza
So that Sunset can shine
I am tired of sitting in traffic in my car.
To go to a dodger game by bike.
So that Sunset is a mainstreet for people, not a freeway.
To feel comfortable riding to the farmers market
So I can leave my car in the garage and bike/walk to ice cream with my kids.
So I can cross the street without fear.
So I can walk/bike to shop

Here are some guidelines for shooting video with your phone. Remember to always shoot video in Landscape!

We have promising news regarding Sunset Blvd: A prominent transpo engineering firm has agreed to complete the preliminary engineering for the protected bike lanes at cost. Sunset4all is partnering with the LACBC to launch a crowdfunding campaign to pay for the engineering.

The LACBC is a 501c3 non-profit and they'll take out a 10% admin fee which is standard. All other funds will go to the engineers and, if there's any funds leftover, hard outreach costs like flyers. No one else is getting paid or taking a cent. We also have angel donors who are going to "match" donations once the campaign is launched.
