Oregon Coast STEM Hub Director Position
Join our Team!

The Oregon Coast STEM Hub is hiring a Director. This is a full-time, year-round position based at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Hub goals and strategies, and will work closely with 60 partners throughout our region to serve coastal communities, teachers and students. Position closing date: July 1, 2021

Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences

Engage your students in field and stewardship activities that focus on the health of ocean and Oregon Coast ecosystems. This online workshop will share resources and opportunities to help with your planning for next year. Stipend and PDUs included. Learn more

Distance Learning Facilitation Institute

Oregon Coast STEM Hub K-8 educators

The Rural STEAM Leadership Network is training Learning Facilitators through virtual sessions this August. Participants will lead trainings in their districts during the 2021-22 school year. Stipends included. Learn more   

Supporting Young Scientists & Mathematicians

Join staff from OMSI and discover what it looks and sounds like when young children are practicing STEM skills. Register for the 2 hour virtual SCIENCE and/or the MATH workshop. Stipends and PDUs included. Learn more

2021 MATE ROV Oregon Regional Competition

Congratulations to team W.A.T.T.S. from Warrenton High School who took second place in the Navigator class at the regional ROV competition in Lincoln City on May 23. Their student-built underwater robot performed a variety of pool missions based on real-world scenarios. Many thanks to the volunteers, mentors and parents for supporting all the teams this year!
