Celebrating Freedom
Here in the U.S., on July 4, we celebrate our nation's independence from British rule. We're also anticipating freedom from the grip of COVID, assuming the Delta variant remains under control.
Will we return to normal?
I hope not!
I hope we will continue to practice good hygiene. After all, fewer people caught the flu, this year. What does that tell us?
Masks, washing hands, and safe distancing work together to prevent other viruses from spreading, too.
And while we're at it, the future of blowing out candles on a birthday cake is in peril. ;-)

Caregivers, We Need to Laugh More—Here’s Help
Memoryz offers four tips to make laughter a part of our caregiving including one we typically won't find in humor books. Greg, one funny 243-year-old gargoyle in the Denver International Airport gets us started. If you're not laughing, you need a respite.
The Caregiver's Voice BONUS
Nostalgia—Fondness for Times Past
Nostalgia used to be considered a mental illness. No more. Why do we crave nostalgia—the need to return to what we perceive were simpler and/or even happier times? Some of us have a greater need to hold onto or revisit the past. Our answer to one magic question may help us to see more clearly.
