It’s sickening that leaseholders are forced to pay bills reaching as much as £100,000. For some of us, this means not only losing our flats – but our entire careers as well.
Here’s the thing: civil resistance works. There are countless examples of this in our history, from the suffragettes to the civil rights movement, to the demand for justice for George Floyd.
We must show we will not accept this huge injustice. The developers are responsible for building our houses with flammable materials. We say: the developers must pay.
