Recent News
To all of you who were able to join us at The Thacher School on May18th, I hope you enjoyed the presentation, the camaraderie, and the enthusiasm for CWA.

I've attached minutes here from that meeting with Michael Leicht of Ventura Brush Goats and his cute goats - please take a look and let us know if you see anything that needs immediate attention.  If you'd like to connect further with Michael and his goats, you can find him here

Our Next Meeting
When is a cherry not a cherry?  That is just one of the many fun things we'll be learning on June 15 when VC-CWA visits the California Coffee Collective at Rancho Filoso in Santa Paula.
Join us as Sheila and Lisa Tate and introduce us to the world of Ventura County grown coffee!  Like always, we will meet for a casual lunch, good company, a little business, and best of all - to learn something new!  There will be a certain amount of walking involved in this coffee adventure, but our dear hostesses plan to give everyone a hay ride up to the coffee and then let us walk around some as we like.  It's no surprise that they recommend we wear appropriate footwear...
Click here to RSVP by Friday, June 11
At our June meeting, we'll also learn more about a special event coming in August...  Mark your calendars now for August 11 - and plan to lend a hand, because being a part of the party is half the fun!

Good Things to Do
VC-CWA is fortunate to count among our members Louise Lampara, Executive Director of Ventura County CoLAB.  They are so knowledgeable about so many things, and thankfully they do a great job keeping an eye on what's going on with local government.  Please take a few minutes and consider becoming a part of this effort - CoLAB is working for all of us to help protect the property rights of Ventura County property owners.

As you heard at our May meeting, the Wildlife Corridor legal battle is kicking into high gear - the initial brief will be presented on Tuesday, June 1.  Louise and CoLAB are  working to raise the funds that will be required to underwrite the legal battle that submission kicks off...  At our meeting, VC-CWA approved a $1,000 donation to support that effort, and with the matching donation campaign that CoLAB currently has going, our donation should be doubled.  Thank you, ladies, for supporting this effort.  If you'd like to go one step further and support this individually, click here to find all the details you'll need.  CoLAB was hoping to receive these commitments before the June 1 meeting, but if you can lend a hand, I'm sure it's not too late.
VC-CWA is the largest all volunteer women's agricultural activism group in the state.  Yes, all volunteers!   And we could use your help.

With our August fundraiser fast approaching, please reach out to Annette Baietti to see you how could help make this a fun and successful fundraising event.  She has arranged great food, wine, and a venue, and is seeking sponsors and fun creative ways to handle all the little details that go into planning a party.  If you'd like to lend a hand with the event, click here to let Annette know.   She would appreciate your help!

Thank you!
We are grateful for you, your connection to VC-CWA, and your willingness to share your knowledge and skills with others.

We look forward to seeing you!
