Welcome to this month's newsletter! June has actually been a pretty good month, I've felt uplifted by the nice weather and more inspired than usual to go out and draw and do things! These waves of inspiration come and go, but I think it has definitely helped that I've got back into the habit of drawing daily for my Japan project. Anyway, here's what I've been up to this month...

'Glamping' weekend
I went away over the weekend with my partner to stay in a 'glamping pod' - which is just a little wooden cabin on a campsite, and it was brilliant! We had a bbq, lit a campfire and chilled & read books. It was just what I needed, so calm and away from everything, and I barely even looked at my phone! I couldn't resist sketching as it was so pretty, it ended up becoming a huge double A4 landscape sketch! I worked on it whenever I had a moment, with a cup of tea by the fire in the evenings. Now I'm back home, and feeling very refreshed!

Japan Daily Drawing
I'm still working on my 100 day project, drawing something Japan-related every day, and learning more about the culture and language as I go. I'm already a quarter of the way through, it's going really fast! There's now 4 blog posts up on my website to read through, and 28 illustrations done so far. I'd love to hear your thoughts or which is your favourite, and as always any interesting suggestions just pop me a message!

Garden Flowers
I had a lovely morning earlier this month sitting down to sketch some of the flowers I've planted in my little garden planter, I've got pansies, marigolds and fuchsias and they're all blooming! This was just for fun, a little time for me to relax, be outside and draw. Making time to chill and just breathe is important ♡

Etsy Sale
I've got a 20% off sale section in my Etsy shop at the moment to clear out some space for new things I have in mind for later in the year. It's only for UK based folks as my international shipping is turned off completely at the moment, but once I sort things out worldwide postage will be back!
