Dear Families:

June at LMC is packed with celebratory events, and we also begin to reflect on this year to help us prepare for the next.

To keep in line with our celebrations and traditions, the week of June 14 will be our last Community Day event. During this week, each grade will celebrate on a different day in an organized play and picnic. We encourage remote students to come back and meet their teachers and classmates on the days designated for each grade’s Community Day event. Grade Level Facilitators will share more details with you.

June 16- 6th grade Community Day
June 17- 7th grade Community Day
June 18- 8th-grade Senior Picnic and Community Day

To help us reflect on this year, students have completed the DOE survey and participated in discussion groups to begin planning our Advisory curriculum. Don’t forget to complete the DOE survey so that we can hear from you too!

Mount Sinai Health System Now Vaccinating Children 12-15. You may make an appointment for yourself or your child here. Children under 18 require permission from a parent or guardian, and the child must have reached their 12th birthday by the date of the vaccination. If you prefer to make an appointment by phone, please call (646) 605-5764. You can also check the New York State , New York City , New Jersey , or Connecticut websites for other locations that offer appointments or walk-in vaccination. Be sure that the site you choose is offering Pfizer-BioNTech as other vaccines are not yet authorized for use in people under 18.
The DOE would like to invite families to interactive workshops designed to help families learn about the signs and strategies they can employ to support their children. Register via this link Registration Link by Wednesday, June 9th.
