With a heavy heart but eager anticipation for God’s continued leading, I must regretfully announce that our June 12 Sanctuary opening has been postponed indefinitely due to circumstances beyond our control. In the past few days we learned that the county will not issue our certificate of occupancy until our sprinkler system is fully operational.
Like you, perhaps, my mind flooded with thoughts and questions when I first heard this news. Then God brought me back to the Words of Scripture:
Trust God Completely — Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-8 NLT
Hope Is Still Alive — Lord, sustain me as You promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed. Psalm 119:116 NLT
Rejoice! — We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3-5 NLT
Friends, I believe this “setback” will spark a greater focus on hearing God’s voice and leading at Springtown. And while we all eagerly await that first Sabbath in our new Building, realize that God’s greatest desire is to build the Body of Christ in anticipation of His soon coming.
May God Bless You and Your Family.
And always remember that Jesus Loves You!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Rick Mercer
