PCJC Annual Conference 2021

Pastors, delgates, and other church leaders from the Pacific Coast Japanese Conference met recently for our annual conference. Bishop Matt Whitehead presented on "The Free Methodist Way." Superintendent Keith Tanita presented several reports on the conference.

If you'd like to read more about it, please see the annual conference booklet here:

The link for the booklet is on the bottom of the page.
Opportunity to Serve
Thanks for all the donations that have already been received. We will plan on providing snacks on a monthy basis. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Family Promise of the South Bay helps homeless families achieve housing stability by providing short-term shelter, meals, case management, and hospitality.  If you recall, we donated our Christmas Post Office funds to this non-profit organization.

Anchor South Bay Church will be partnering with Family Promise by providing snack bags for the children who are in their program. To do this, we need to gather a supply of snacks, package them up, and deliver them to Family Promise.

If you'd like to help, here some suggestions on what we need to collect:
Fruit: grapes, oranges, apples, nectarines, bananas
Savory Snack: SunChips, Cheez-its, Pringles, Pretzels, Variety chip boxes, Ritz Crackers
Juice Boxes

We're scheduled to provide snacks for May 31. If you'd like to donate any of these items, please contact
Wayne Katayama to arrange pickup or drop it off with Yukari at Kansha Creamery (when you're getting some ice cream!).

  • Please keep the Katayama family in your prayers for their new baby boy and a smooth transition to a family of four.

How to Live Wisely

The Bible Project Podcast

What does it mean to fear God and be wise? Listen to the podcast, reflect on some questions, and go deeper into study on your own or with a group.

Reflect

Once you’ve listened to the short podcast, take the time to reflect on these questions:

What is one specific decision that impacts others that you are weighing right now?

Has Jesus faced a decision that impacted others in a similar way? How did he wisely love others with his choice?

With all this in mind, what could it look like to wisely love others with your decision?
