Dear colleagues,
The GSA is organising a free Schistosomiasis research-focused online meeting on the 8th and 9th of June, from 12:00 to 15:30 UTC.
We have a limited number of places so please register your participation through this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/schistosomiasis-research-innovation-meeting-registration-154534221015
The online research meeting is packed with exciting talks and networking:
- The first day there will be a session with brief updates from the GSA working groups and work streams, and a session highlighting innovative schistosomiasis research and findings with speakers giving talks on tools for morbidity assessment, vaccines in endemic countries, geostatistical models for informing survey designs, biocontrol tools, genomics and more.
- The second day will be focused on early-career researchers and exciting research-in-progress with interactive networking opportunities for participants. Talks include chlorination methods for schistosomiasis prevention, intensive treatment and vaccine immune responses, identifying UHC gaps, schistosome diagnostic developments and more.
We would like to give 5 PhD students the opportunity to give a rapid-fire micro-talk (5 mins) on their research and offer them a networking room for their research theme on the second day (9th of June). If you are a PhD student interested in this opportunity please contact Dr Anouk Gouvras anouk.gouvras@eliminateschisto.org asap.
Looking forward to welcoming you all to the meeting.
