I'm coming up for air to give you a quick update!

I've thought so much about the importance of messaging during the pandemic, and today as I was zipping around the farm moving everything along, I tried to think of a digestible message that encompasses so many variables and details--I came up with: most things are mostly ready! :)

We're almost there. Most things are ready for you. A few things are lagging behind--and I'm not naming names, but a certain rodent family had themselves a party in the greenhouse a couple of weeks ago and set a few things back, like the pickling cukes, the patty pan, a whole lot of sunflowers, melons and winter squash. Grimacing emoji, screaming emoji, red-faced emoji. Sigh of acceptance emoji, and is there an emoji for sowing those flats again? And is there a mouse trap emoji?

I've already heard from some of you about picking up, and I'll be spending the day tomorrow, Saturday the 22nd, putting orders together.

Shoot me an email or text if you'd like to come this weekend for your items--I do need a bit of notice, at least until I'm all caught up with collating--so please do contact me first. If I don't know that you're coming , your stuff will not be ready and waiting.

If you live far away and your order includes any of the items involved in the rodent tapas (pickling cukes, patty pan, melons, winter squash, and various sunflowers--I can let you know individually if the variety you ordered was affected), I recommend holding off until these are all ready--we should be in good shape with these by *next* weekend.

If you don't mind making two trips, I'm very happy to put together everything that *is* ready, and have you come back for the laggards.

Again, kindly be in touch about when you'd like to come--this is an intense time of the year, with so many things needing to happen all at once. I'm working systematically to get through the various tasks at hand, so I won't be able to grab your stuff for you if I didn't know you were coming and it isn't prepared.

Everyone has been super delightful and kind in their communications. It really is such a pleasure to grow for you.

One last note--I'm working through a tall stack of orders, with some folks who ordered back in March having waited the longest for their babies. If you ordered in the last day or two, have patience--a gardeners best friend ;) --I'm making my way to you (quickly!).

I HAVEN'T ORDERED YET. SHOULD I ORDER OR JUST BUY RIGHT FROM THE COOP OR THE NORTH PLAIN FARM STORE?

Right now, *selected varieties* of the cool weather crops are available at both the Berkshire Coop and the North Plain Farm Store. The selection will rotate seasonally and will be available through the summer and into the fall.

Because of space limitations at these venues, the *FULL selection* of what I'm growing is only available via our ordering system.  So for example if you are REALLY into having a full rainbow of colors, shapes, sizes, and ripening times of heirloom tomatoes in your garden this year, then ordering is the better bet.

Some folks are buying the cool weather plants at one of these venues and then ordering the rest to make sure they get the specific varieties they're envisioning for tomatoes and flowers.

Be in touch!
