Thank you so much to Jill Roop, Holly Birch, Jason Caldeira, and Caroline Jordan for the incredible effort that when into planning this event. THANK YOU to all those that have already donated to Fund in Need or purchased an Art and Soul in a Box. I picked mine up yesterday and am excited to dig in!

Please remember, while on campus, there is still a mask and social distancing mandate. The majority of our students are not vaccinated. Let’s keep them healthy and safe!

AACA End of Year Variety Show

Variety Show Submission Deadline Extended!

If your child is in 3-7th grade, they now have until Monday, May 24th to send in submissions to participate in AACA’s annual Variety Show! Please upload a video of their performance using this form. This event will showcase student dance, music, and drama performances, and students are welcome to collaborate with their friends if they maintain social distancing requirements. Please note, you must login with your child’s aaca.school account to fill out the form. Email Ms. Manuel with any questions- rmanuel@aaca.school.

Food Truck Give-Back

Looking for a dinner option next week? Crosby's Kitchen food truck will be in the AACA parking lot on Wednesday, May 26th. Click here to view the menu. Pre-orders will only be taken until Tuesday! For every family pack sold, $10 is given back and for every boozy add-on, $5 is given back to AACA! Click here to complete your order!

Next Week is Sports Week!

Thank you, student council, for planning fun activities!
Monday is Jersey Day: Students can wear a sports jersey with uniform bottoms
Tuesday is sports history day: Students will play a fun game digging into the past of some of their favorite sports!
Wednesday is Chicago Sports day: Students can come in full out of uniform with a Chicago Sports team shirt/jersey/top
Thursday is AACA sport/spirit wear day: Students wear AACA sports shirt or spirit wear and out of uniform bottoms
Friday is Athletic wear day: Students wear athletic clothes, full out of uniform.

Congratulations to 8th Grader, Ryan Fardy!

Ryan placed 3rd in the First Annual Law Day Civics Contest which was sponsored by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Ryan submitted an original, two-minute video (linked here) to answer the question "Why are the courts important?"

Volunteer Hours

Volunteer hours are not required this year due to Covid restrictions.
