Hello Dear Friends,

This week is my last week as an RUF intern here at Rice. More information on the last month of ministry is pending in another newsletter, but as I finish up my time here with Rice RUF, I look back on all that God has done here over the past two years through RUF and I rejoice.  Thank you so much for all of your prayers and financial support.  At the very beginning of this journey, I asked the Lord to provide like-minded partners to make this ministry possible.  I thank God frequently for you all.  You are an answer to prayer, and God has used you mightily here at Rice, multiplying your generosity to create many gospel moments.  Even just over the last year, in the midst of a global pandemic, the Lord has grown RUF at Rice significantly.  Jesus is building His kingdom here, and He is using you.  Over the last two years, myriads of bible studies, large group services, and gospel conversations have been made possible through your sacrificial giving. God has moved. God is still moving.  His kingdom knows no retreat, only advance.  The light shines out in the darkness and it will never be put out because King Jesus, our King, has conquered.  He has used us as His tools in the great story of redemption, and it has been an honor to have you all as ministry partners in the gospel.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS.

I love you all and am writing to you today with very big and exciting news.  I love RUF.  It was a community that constantly pointed me to Jesus during my college days and grew me in my faith tremendously.  Therefore, I am incredibly pleased to announce that I will be continuing with RUF as I have accepted a position as an RUFI intern at Texas A&M University!  Even though my two years of ministry at Rice are coming to a close, I will get to continue to do kingdom work as an employee of RUF in a new capacity!

I am delighted at the prospect of moving back to Bryan-College Station to do cross cultural ministry, primarily serving graduate international students.  Working with international students on the campus of Texas A&M, I will get to continue proclaiming the good news of salvation.  This ministry is strategic in reaching the nations as the Lord has sovereignly brought students from all over the world to us for a period of several years before many of them will return to their home countries.  This is the same gospel and the same mission but a new context and a new mission field.

I am immensely excited that I will get to continue to love and minister to students.  In order to continue to do this ministry, I will need to raise support.  I am thankful beyond words for all of your support over the past two years and I would like to ask that you prayerfully consider continuing to support me in this new ministry call.  (If you are a monthly giver and have auto-draft set up, it will continue and you will not need to set up a new donation).

If you have any questions concerning this transition or about the ministry here at Rice, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact me.  I am praying for you all that our Lord would grow you in the knowledge of His love and in relationship with Him, so that through the power of His resurrection, you might be strengthened to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, because He has already made you His own. (Phil 3:10-14).  May the grace and peace of our Lord be upon you.

For the King,

Joshua Coleman
