Summer Reading 2021 is almost here! Register for your take-home kit and join us live on Facebook each week for book talks and crafting fun. Don’t have Facebook?? No problem! You can catch the replay on Youtube or choose in-person seating during registration. Visit Facebook or our Summer Reading page on our website and watch the videos from Miss Summer below for all the details!

Kindergarten Readiness (Pre-K)

Join Miss Summer for this early-literacy enhanced class designed to introduce children to the library, get them interested in books and develop the skills needed for school. Favorite songs, great books and fun crafts await! Register for your take-home kit full of all the supplies needed to participate in our virtual fun for the month of June!

Learn how to make fun objects and animals just like they do in the fancy hotels; it's easier than you think! You'll need to provide your own towels so be sure to have on hand: 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 3 wash cloths. Additional optional supplies: 1 safety pin and circular items like coins or buttons.

We're back with more fun science! This month we're flying high and challenging air. We'll make a helicopter whirlygig and see if you can conquer the huff and puff challenge! You'll need an empty water bottle so register for the rest of the supplies and then get drinking!

Thursday, 6/10 - 6:30 pm
Jump on a hot, Pinterest-worthy trend with a wrapped rope rainbow to hang and be proud of! This class will be offered for limited attendance in person, and will be available as a Take & Make virtually.

Feed that nostalgia feeling and create a fun bracelet or anklet to get in the summer mood. This will be a Take & Make class, held virtually, and open to adults and teens!

Driftwood Rainbow Hearts
Thursday, 6/24 - 6:00 pm - $5

Combine wood, felt, and a bit of thread to create a wall hanging with a vintage, summer camp vibe that will earn a place of pride on your front porch. This class will be offered for limited attendance in person, and will also be available as Take & Make virtually.
