New This Quarter

We recently worked with Riipen Company and had two interns from Canada. Their project was focused on our social media. We were so impressed with their level of knowledge as well as their ability to learn about the Marshfield Foundation and incorporate many of their ideas to improve the look of our social media and increase the number of people reached.

Another highlight was our new staff member…Ana Jepsen. She joined the Marshfield Foundation on June 1st! She is jumping in to learn all about our donor process as well as be the point person for our scholarships. Feel free to send her a little welcome note: Ana@marshfield.foundation

Community Updates

Our Grants & Scholarship committee has been busy awarding scholarship and community grants.

Over 60 scholarship funds were able to award 145 scholarships totaling more than $150,000 this year! Our scholarship committee extended an additional invite to students to apply for scholarships specific to UWSP-Marshfield so those scholarships wouldn’t go unused.

Grants given in 2021 include:

• South Beach Chamber Ensemble for a concert August 7th at Chestnut Ctr. for the Arts

• Raised beds for the Wood Co. Master Gardener Volunteers

• Cultural Fair Fund support for programs

• Rails to Trails for Neillsville Improvement Corporation

• Sleep in Heavenly Peace for the Spencer Area Project

• Spay/Neuter program for Marshfield Area Pet Shelter

• Hub City Days DJ for teens to Main Street Marshfield

• Emergency Communications Trailer for the Heart of WI Amateur Radio Group,Inc.

Vandehey Waters is opening July 23rd!

The new Vandehey Waters will open July 23rd. We continue to be impressed with how the community rallied to raise the funds for the new aquatic center. We have enjoyed working with people to make donations and pledge payments. Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality!
