Dear Devotees and Members,
On May 17th, 2021, we reached a historic milestone by performing the Boomi Pooja festival for the temple. Thanks to all the leadership team and volunteers who participated, supported, and sponsored our first CMT planned event at the site. The event was well prepared, and everyone felt the elegance and spiritual touch. It was a good feeling, and we hope that with the blessings of Lord Murugan, we will start construction soon.
Our leadership team and volunteers are planning for the Vel Deepam Festival on July 5th, 2021. This is going to be an all-day event with food and festivities. Please mark your calendar and attend this event with your family and invite your friends and relatives.
We continue our appeal to all of you for additional donations and support to fund the Phase I construction. We still need about 170K additional equity to get the construction loan. Any small donation will be of big help to us to get a loan from the bank soon.
We hear a lot of good happenings from our members. Good things happen when you are part of Carolina Murugan Temple. Please reach out to me (chairman@carolinamurugantemple.org) if you have any questions about our initiatives and plan.

Carolina Murugan Temple is planning to celebrate Lord Muruga’s birthday, Vaikasi Visakam on the full moon day this Vaikasi month on the Visakam star. Please join us for a special virtual pooja on Tuesday, May 25th between 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
May Lord Muruga continue to protect, bless and bestow everyone in the world with love, peace, and hope. Muruga Saranam.

Boomi Pooja at the CMT Site

On May 17th, 2021, we performed the Boomi Pooja festival at the Moncure temple site. This was one of the milestone events for the temple before starting the actual construction of the temple. Many devotees attended this event and got the blessings of Lord Murugan.
Thanks to the following volunteers and who helped us to make this event a successful one.

Weekly SKY Yoga at the CMT Site
|
|
|
|
Carolina Murugan Temple partnered with SKY Yoga to conduct weekly Yoga at the open lawn at the temple site. The Yoga session will be on every Saturday between 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
SKY North Carolina Master In-Charge Mr. Rajendran will be leading the event with three of his instructors. You can also reach him by email at sky.cary@yahoo.com
After Yoga, attendees can spend time and walk at the CMT Greenway - A walking trail connecting the temple site, deep river, and Statue site.
Eligibility: Men, women, and children above 8 are free to attend at no cost. No registration is required. Please bring your yoga mat.
